MITOCONDRIA
Salvatge, March - May 2024
Mitocondria is a foundational exploration of the universe as an interwoven system of energies, elements, and consciousness. Rooted in a sense of wonder and reverence for nature, the series reflects an early belief in the harmony of the cosmos and the unseen forces that guide it. Yet beneath this awe lies a quiet rupture: a shift from passive trust in a divine order toward an awakening of human responsibility.
Through symbolic forms, organic materials, and layered compositions, Mitocondria explores themes of divine balance, femininity, light and shadow, and the sacred intelligence of the natural world. It proposes that what makes us human—our capacity for awareness—is also what empowers us to shape the reality we inhabit. At once intuitive and intentional, the work becomes a meditation on the magic of existence and a call to conscious co-creation.
